MMDA Partners with TxtFire Philippines to Enhance Fire Emergency Response

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is collaborating with TxtFire Philippines Foundation Inc. to strengthen and expedite emergency responses, particularly in fire-related incidents. MMDA Chair Don Artes recently met with representatives from TxtFire to formalize this partnership.
The two organizations have committed to working closely together to expand access to innovative technologies and solutions aimed at improving emergency management. Their joint efforts will also focus on launching public awareness campaigns centered on fire prevention and safety protocols.
In addition, Chair Artes revealed that the MMDA is establishing a rescue training facility in Carmona. This center will provide practical exercises and specialized training programs for rescuers to enhance their preparedness and operational effectiveness.
TxtFire Philippines is recognized for leveraging modern technology, including SMS-based alert systems and mobile applications, to facilitate timely notifications and coordinated responses during emergencies. The group also plays a vital role in disseminating reminders that help prevent accidents and promote public safety.
