Samal City Mayor Commends International Care Ministries for Ongoing Community Support

The Island Garden City of Samal's Mayor Lemuel T. Reyes has publicly expressed his appreciation for the continued assistance provided by International Care Ministries (ICM). Representatives from ICM visited the mayor on Tuesday, September 9, to reinforce their collaborative efforts with the local government aimed at improving the welfare of disadvantaged communities.

"Mayor Reyes conveyed his sincere thanks to the non-governmental organization for its steadfast commitment, especially in tackling malnutrition and supporting expectant mothers," the city administration stated.

ICM has been actively distributing food packages and delivering vital aid across various neighborhoods within the city. The organization, in partnership with the City Health Office, currently runs a 15-week community-based initiative focused on health and nutrition which cycles through different barangays every four months.

Additionally, ICM collaborates closely with local churches and pastors to conduct outreach programs that emphasize health promotion, nutrition education, and broader community development. These joint efforts underscore the commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Samal's most vulnerable populations.
