Pampanga Police Condemn Killing of Masantol Barangay Chairman, Launch Manhunt for Suspects

The Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) has strongly condemned the fatal shooting of Barangay Balibago chairman Jinkie V. Quiambao, who was killed by two gunmen in Barangay Alauli, Masantol, on the evening of Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

In an official statement, the PPO expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the respected local leader, emphasizing his significant contributions to the community. "We strongly denounce the alarming incident that transpired in Barangay Alauli, Masantol, Pampanga, which led to the untimely passing of Barangay Chairman Jinqui V. Quiambao — a respected and hardworking leader whose service left a meaningful mark on his community. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones as they navigate this difficult moment," the statement read.

Colonel Eugene Marcelo, director of the Pampanga PPO, announced that he has ordered the Masantol Municipal Police Station, led by Major Jimmy Malonso, to expedite the investigation and promptly identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

"Our Provincial Forensic Unit has completed processing the crime scene, and all evidence is currently undergoing comprehensive and accelerated analysis to aid in the swift resolution of the case," Marcelo explained.

Moreover, the police director noted that coordination efforts are underway with neighboring police stations and law enforcement agencies to maintain a consolidated and effective pursuit of the suspects.

He further appealed to the public for cooperation, stating, "We urge the public to remain calm yet vigilant, and to immediately report any information that may help in the ongoing investigation. Your cooperation is vital. Together, we will pursue justice with resolve and ensure accountability for this incident."
