Governor Pamela Baricuatro conducted a personal inspection of the newly renovated free restrooms at the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) on Thursday, September 11, 2025. The renovation was carried out by Topline Hi-tech Synergy Corp., which undertook the project as a voluntary contribution to the Province of Cebu, with an estimated budget of P3 million.

Brigitte Carmel Lim, Senior Vice President of Topline, explained that the company volunteered to renovate the restroom facilities as part of their commitment to the local community. Aside from this, Topline also operates the ticketing systems in two bus terminals and collaborates with Mister Loo Philippines, which manages several restrooms within the terminal.

Governor Baricuatro emphasized that the improvements were made in anticipation of the peak travel season. "We are preparing this for November 1 and 2 as well as for the Christmas season. We are already discussing how to prevent people from experiencing the long queues that in past years extended all the way to Emall during All Saints’ and All Souls’ days," she stated.

Further enhancements are planned for the terminal, including renovations of the second floor, funded with an allocation of P11 million. The governor remarked, "Although more improvements are needed, progress so far is promising. We have already approved the budget, signing the related documents just yesterday for the eleven million pesos required. We are gearing up for the new South Bus Terminal."

Topline Hi-tech Synergy Corp. also expressed its intention to install additional free restrooms inside the terminal to offer more convenience to travelers. Lim noted, "We aim to provide restrooms with similar standards to ensure uniformity, and all facilities will be completely free of charge for the public."

The formal blessing of the new restrooms is scheduled for next week, marking a significant step towards upgrading passenger amenities at the CSBT.
