House Labor Committee Hosts Thai Legislator for Bilateral Talks on Workforce Cooperation

Cavite Representative Jolo Revilla, chairperson of the House Committee on Labor and Employment, formally welcomed Thai legislator Saritpong Kiewkong to the Philippine House of Representatives. Kiewkong, who chairs the Standing Committee on Labour in Thailand's House of Representatives, is visiting the Philippines for a joint bilateral meeting and study tour.
Joining the reception was Senator Raffy Tulfo, chair of the Senate Committee on Labor, Employment, and Human Resources Development. The gathering aimed to enhance cooperation between the two nations within the ASEAN framework, focusing on critical labor concerns.
Key topics discussed included labor reforms, worker welfare and protection, minimum wage policies, labor relations systems, management of migrant workers, protection frameworks for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and collaboration on future employment trends.
Representative Revilla emphasized the significance of exchanging knowledge and experiences, stating, "Through this mutual sharing of insights, our perspectives broaden, enabling us to improve policies that safeguard the welfare of our workers both domestically and abroad."
