Nesthy Petecio and Hergie Bacyadan Claim Bronze at 2025 SEA Games Boxing Semifinals

Filipino Olympians Nesthy Petecio and Hergie Bacyadan each earned bronze medals in their respective weight categories after falling in the semifinal bouts of the 2025 Southeast Asian Games boxing competition.
Petecio, who advanced directly to the semifinals in the women's 63kg division, was edged out by Indonesia's Hasanah Huswatun in a closely contested match decided by a 3–2 split decision on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Bacyadan, also granted an automatic semifinal spot in the women's 70kg division, was defeated by Thailand's Manikon Baison through a unanimous decision on Friday.
Both fighters display commendable performances despite their semifinal losses, securing bronze medals for the Philippines in the regional sporting event.
